Who Are We?

ATA SOUTH'S MISSION:

To develop, promote, and showcase opportunities through tennis in our southern region communities.

VISION:

As the southern section of American Tennis Association, our vision is aligned. While focusing on the southern states, we aim to be the leading tennis organization that harnesses the power of tennis to promote the education, health and wellness of under-served black and brown youth and to create the next generation of tennis heroes and community leaders.

CORE VALUES:

Family: The ATA family includes members, clubs and communities.
Integrity: By our actions, encourage all to honor our history and the spirit of the sport.
Excellence: Striving for continuous improvement and reaching your highest potential.

Inclusion: Enriching the sport of tennis by increasing accessibility and diversity for all.

Leadership: Demonstrating leadership while mentoring and cultivating the next generation of leaders.

LONG TERM PLANS:

With the tax deductible donations, sponsorships and funding from our corporate friends and generous families, the ATA South aims to develop the ATA South headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia. The ATA South headquarters will have 4 (or more) tennis courts, a state of the art community center with meeting rooms, player lounge, gym and area to curate the first black history tennis museum in the city of Atlanta.

The ATA South headquarters will be open to the public and we plan to offer after school programming, black history tennis museum, coaching, training opportunities as well as educational programming.
